Sovereign Emperor of Holy Russia Grand Prince Valeriy Viktorovich Kubarev has visited Kingdom of Belgium and been on July 11, 2014 in Brussels where participated in official actions of celebrating of Day of Flemish community of Belgium in city Town Hall and Parliament. At support of local authorities, representatives of patrimonial aristocracy of the Belgian Kingdom and members of Russian Imperial House of Rurikovich the program of visiting of Brussels has been prepared. In the morning on July 11, 2014 Grand Prince Valeriy Viktorovich Kubarev, SAR Don Rafael Andujar Vilches, Prince of San Bartolomeo and Cappadocia, Countess Naomi of Cappadocia and Mr. Georges Himpens were directed to a city Town Hall of Brussels on solemn assembly in honor of Day of Flemish community of Belgium. The building of the Town Hall of Brussels is sample late Brabant’s gothic styles, is constructed in the beginning of XVI century and reconstructed in XVIII century. Celebrating of Day of Flemish community of Belgium has centuries-old roots. On July 11, 1302 there was Battle of Courtrai or Battle of Golden Spurs. Battle has taken place during Flemish revolt of 1302 against the French occupation of the country. The army of the Frenchmen was headed by the relative of king is Count Robert II Artois. In his army there were 7500 horsemen and up to 5000 pedestrian soldiers, including mercenaries (Lombard’s crossbow and Spanish throwers of Javelins). The Flemish national home guard (from 13 up to 20 thousand persons) was headed by only 10 Knights with retinues. The pedestrian Flemings have won horse army of France and have collected 700 gold spurs from killed Knights. In honor of it fight has received the historical name. For the first time in medieval Europe the infantry has crushed knightly cavalry, having started revival of role of infantry in military actions. Since then day on July 11 became an informal holiday of Flemings.
In the main hall of Town Halls have gathered conducting policies and recognized persons of Belgium. Before performances of politicians there was an informal dialogue of the invited persons with press and with each other. Among visitors of action were Grand Prince Valeriy Viktorovich Kubarev, SAR Don Rafael Andujar Vilches, Prince of San Bartolomeo and Cappadocia, Countess Naomi of Cappadocia and Mr. Georges Himpens. Princes have been submitted to conducting policies of Belgium, including the son of the President of European Union is Mr. Peter van Rompuy, former Prime minister Mr. Mark Eyskens, Chairman of Parliament of Brussels Mrs. Carla Dejonghe, Minister Mrs. Brigitte Grouweis, Minister Mrs. Bianca De Baets, future Prime minister Mr. Wouter Beke, Minister of Defence Mr. Pieter de Crem and to other significant persons. After ceremonial meeting in the Town Hall the political beau monde has moved to Parliament of Brussels. Without what or formalities and protection, servants of Belgian people on foot among tourists and local residents have reached Hall of receptions of Parliament. To present such in Russia it is simply impossible, where the authority was fenced off from Russian people by police, armored cars and protection that that has not left. In Europe such shocking behavior nonsense that causes respect for the European democratic values. The celebratory banquet where policies have continued informal dialogue has taken place in palace hall of Parliament. After participation in celebratory actions in Brussels, Grand Prince Valeriy Viktorovich Kubarev has returned to Bruges, and SAR Don Rafael Andujar Vilches, Prince of San Bartolomeo and Cappadocia and Countess Naomi of Cappadocia were directed to Paris.
